The origin of L'étranger

[ masculine ] noun /etʀɑ̃ʒe/ (also étrangère [ feminine ] /etʀɑ̃ʒɛʀ/)

Since it's the title of this website, I feel like I need to explain a little bit about my choice. L'étranger is the first thing that comes to my mind, because that's how I feel, in supermarket, in post office, in parties, at dinners, it's not just about not being French that makes me feel this way, it's just that I don't feel like I belong anywhere. As pessimistic as it might sound, it actually works to my advantage, because of this feeling of being unsettled is what pushes to realise this project. I will keep doing this until I don't feel like an étrangère one day.
